I am exited to discuss so many things about plants, my experience and sweet memories which keeps me motivated all the time. I have recently got a new plant called "Pedilanthus". (I did not know the name so I checked on Google Lens with the picture, it shows as "Pedilanthus")

Pedilanthus is a succulent plant, which is very beautiful. I always wanted to have one Pedilanthus plant in my balcony. So finally, I got it 😊. I got one medium stem I cut them in to 3 small pieces, It's very small right now, I am excited to see this plant growing. Waiting to see this, as a bushy plant. This plant will enhance the beauty of your garden as this  is an attractive plant. I did grow it from cutting, in water as well as, in soil.

While I was checking details about it, I got to know this plant has many more names and verities. Pedilanthus is scientific name. Euphorbia tithymaloides is a perennial succulent spurge. It is an erect shrub, as mentioned it is also known by the scientific name Pedilanthus tithymaloides. However, the genus Pedilanthus has been submerged into the genus Euphorbia, and is more correctly known by its new name (Euphorbia tithymaloides).

Benefits  

 This plant spread positive energy, you feel good around it & it purify the Air. Among other best air purifying plants for the home  (Example: Money Plant, Aloe Vera,snake plant etc) Pedilanthus is one of them. According to me its a must plant.🌱, just like Money Plant. Euphorbia tithymaloides is from Family of Euphorbiaceae, which is a low tropical American shrub with a reported wide range of healing properties such as , anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, emetic, antiseptic, antitumoral, anti-hemorrhagic, antiviral, and abortive.

Growing Pedilanthus Indoors Care

Water the plants once, when soil looks dry, I mean when the top few inches of soil looks/feels dry. Keep it only moderately moist. Plant should not hold water, it should drain, should not be soggy. The plant produces the best growth with a once per month fertilizer.

Growing Pedilanthus Outdoor Care

This plant doesn't need very much care. it is very easy to grow just like Aloe Vera Plant. You need to water this plant as per the requirement only, not everyday. Do not over water.

For best result grow this plant in shady place. For example, underneath the tree. On daily basis, 2-3 hours sunlight is sufficient for Pedilanthus. If you have small Balcony/garden you shouldn't face any challenges to  grow this plant as it is very low maintenance plant. And if you are growing in big garden then you don't have space problem, you can grow near your big plants/bushy plants or tree. Don't forget to use fertilizer once in a month or so. Approx  in 20 days, I add fertilizer in my each plant. So, no extra work. Isilye is plant me koi extra care ki  zarurat nhi hoti hai.

One of the names is the Devil's Backbone. I had a doubt about this name, though it has  more names but this name seems scary. I checked on google about it, and collected info.

Why is it called the Devil's Backbone? Is it scary?

Del Toro's supernatural setting, one in which ghost stories and superstition are fundamental to the movie's plot and central themes, it adds a beautiful backdrop to the film. The doctor of the orphanage keeps a collection of jars with preserved infants dead from spina bifida: hence the “Devil's Backbone” of the title. Is The Devil's Backbone scary? No, it would not be scary at all.
